Hi, I'm Chantelle!

I'm originally from Maui and have spent my life living between here and Lake Tahoe, California. Currently I live in upcountry Maui with my husband and pup. I love being active and have a problem sitting still. Traveling, hiking, and surfing are some of my favorite activities. My newest hobby is paddling outrigger canoes. I'm an extrovert in nature and love being around people pretty much all the time. I'm a big nerd when it comes to personality typing so if you want to know anything I'm your girl. In my downtime you will probably find me reading a sci-fi book, shopping online for house decor, trying to grow something in my garden or watching re-runs of Charmed and Gilmore Girls.

Why do you do what you do?

Three reasons really:

• Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, my mom was constantly taking photos of me and my siblings and displaying them all over the house. Some of my earliest memories are ones of me setting up "photo shoots" with my siblings, pets, or any willing subjects and photographing them with disposable and polaroid cameras.

• Photographs are a precious gift. The photos I have of my grandparents when they were young and the photos of me as a baby with both of my parents are some of my most prized posessions. I want to be able to provide the same for others through my photography.

• I love it! Creating beautiful and emotionally rich photographs is my jam!
